UPDATED - this competition is superceded here https://sine.space/challenges

    Hey everyone!

The Sinespace Creative Challenge is HERE!

We will have two competitions per month; One for each area of the competition.

The Challenge will be split into two areas:-

You will be able to use in-world items to use for the current theme. This will not include anything you personally upload or create outside of Sinespace.

This will be on items brought into Sinespace only. Items created with original mesh - non-original mesh (must be 100% re-textured - no pre-made texture sets for the item/s). You can also take an existing item you have created and recolor, re-texture or change to fit the theme. This can include a single item or an entire region build. It is all up to you.

To get things started we are running a simple quick challenge for the creators of clothing, attachments, etc to go along with outfit competitions being held by community members.

The theme is Stars and Stripes (anything starred, striped or red, white and blue), just in time for July 4th. It's also International Bikini Day, so you can also have fun making a Stars and Stripes bikini!

The competition final submission date is Friday July 12th, 2019 (by your own local time). The winner will be announced on Monday July 15h, 2019.

The winner of each competition gets 5000 gold (five thousand) and the entry posted on our social media sites as well as in-world.

    Just click here

Creators competition theme - Blue and Pink theme.

We are always open for suggestions to themes you would like to see us cover in the challenges; let us know in-world, in this forum or on Discord!

If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to respond to this thread.

Sounds fun, though a couple things are not clear.

It says the challenge is split into two areas, community and creator. I get that bit. I also get that community area is essentially assemblage, participants can use any and all stuff in their inventory, including stuff from the SineSpace shop to come up with something that fits the theme. Is that specifically a region build, or could it include custom outfit ensembles?

On the creator side, as I read that it's for content created for/brought into SineSpace only (so ports from SL would not be eligible)? If using a non-original mesh (that is, you've got mesh that has not been used for content in another virtual world or might have been sourced from the asset store), you have to completely re-texture (so, no grabbing and using asset store content as-is)? It says it can be a single item or a region build. Are single items and regions two separate categories, or is any kind of submission in any category all judged as a single area for creators?

Last but by no means least - what's the status on the FPS map contest? You guys went full court press on that, and set your own date to announce a winner... and then have completely missed the date range you advertised. There was a little mention of a delay in the SineSpace Discord after the winner announcement date came and went, but weeks later... still no winner has been announced. in my opinion, out of respect for the many participants who put countless hours into making FPS map contest entries, you should finish the judging and get the winners announced and have whatever winner announcement party that was talked about at GDC before you start announcing other contests. In the spirit of full disclosure I do not have an entry and am not either contestant (or involved in judging), but as a fellow maker and someone who helped promote the event I feel like it's wrong to leave those people hanging as you move on to another promotion.

    Hi Trilo

Assets from other sources are able to be used. For the first one we were just being pretty open. Continuing forward we knew we would have to adjust. I realize this isn't addressing everything you commented on. We already had started to address your questions even prior to your post. Changes in any area moving forward from this one will be posted next week to give the creators time to plan.
